'Be Real' campaign

On Friday 5th October, we were really lucky to have a guest speaker called Shelly come and talk to us in our classes. Shelly is a spokesperson for the 'Be Real' campaign- a group that promotes positive body image. This is a really important attitude to have and ties in perfectly with this terms school value of 'I am caring' and even more so as we are reading a book called 'Wonder' in English (the story of a boy who is navigating his way through life, looking different to others). Shelly talked to us about all the different things that make us unique, and that it didn't matter if we were different to our friends, as we are ALL special. It was a lovely morning where we could ask Shelly questions and we then looked at all the things that we loved about ourselves, that no one else can see in our work in the afternoon.

Take a look at some of our photos from our day!
