Sledmere Primary caters for 3-11 year olds. It was built in 1954 and serves the Central Dudley Area. A New Nursery Unit was recently set up within the school. We have over 360 children on our current roll plus 60 nursery children.
There are 15 classrooms, a large hall, dining hall, ICT suite as well as smaller teaching areas for support groups. The school has a large playground, extensive playing fields plus a woodland area attached to the school which offers tremendous scope for curriculum work.
We have 21 teachers plus 10 Teaching Assistants. In addition to school staff, we have support from ethnic minority and peripatetic music services and 6 Learning Support Assistants.
Sledmere Primary has a friendly working atmosphere with a dedicated and committed staff. We believe strongly in developing team work and co-operation to fully utilise staff strengths and so provide an effective learning environment for our children.
