Miss Kirk's Favourites

Being a bookworm it's hard to choose a favourite book because I have lots of them! However, one of my favourites to read to children is Cirque de Freak by Darren Shan. The story is very exciting with lots of short chapters but each one ends with a cliff hanger that makes you desperate to find out what happens next! Even though I've read it lots of times, I always enjoy reading it again!

Another very old favourite of mine is Roald Dahl's Danny the Champion of the World. I can remember I first heard it when I was at school and I remember being really excited when I bought the book on my holidays. When I became a teacher, it was so lovely to be able to read it to lots of children all over again!
